Today was the day: After more than a year of intensive planning and preparation, the first official ride of the "STL Line 13" was finally about to take place. Around 50 guests found their way to the Stahlgiesserei on this Friday afternoon to witness this forward-looking event. Among the guests were the Mayor of Schaffhausen, Peter Neukomm, and the General Director of the TCS, Jürg Wittwer. Together with the President of the STL, Matthias Rödter, the two answered questions about the topic of mobility of the future in a panel discussion.

Board member, Christine Mauelshagen, presented the acceptance study on the topic of autonomous driving to the guests and invited them to participate. With just a few clicks, anyone and everyone can take part in a swarm dialogue and contribute to the development of future mobility. Anyone who wants to actively participate in shaping the mobility of the future can do so via this link.

Because our self-driving bus does not have a name at the moment, Mathis Passeraub drew attention to our naming competition. He not only invited those present to enter, but also presented the prize: a brand new electric scooter sponsored by ETRIX. Afterwards, the guests went to Mühlentalstrasse, where Peter Neukomm and Jürg Wittwer, together with Matthias Rödter, cut the red ribbon and took their seats in the bus for the first ride.

From now on, the "STL Line 13" is available free of charge to all interested parties (to the timetable).
